How You Can Help

Equip the cafe - A

Can't have a cafe without coffee! Help towards purchase of one or two professional coffee makers.

Equip the cafe - B

Help set up the cafe space - furniture, computers, multi-media, and decorations.

Support a Cafe outreach Japanese staff!

Help support a Japanese seminary student to do outreach through the cafe!

Youth Subway Fund

We hope to have a general fund to help pay a small supplement for youth to take the subway to get to the cafe so that money worries won't prevent them from coming to the cafe.

We've designed a kitchen with the special needs of our espresso machine and drains, etc. We also need to set up a nice countertop for the front of the cafe. The total cost needed is about $10,000.

Heart & Soul Cafe UPDATE!! (Nov 2011)

Thanks for your prayers and donations for the Heart & Soul Cafe!

First of all the BUILDING (the new home of CBI) was purchased by God's amazing grace in March 2011!!!

This new home is just a 5 minute walk from Nagoya station!

The 1st floor will house the new cafe outreach.

The Heart & Soul Cafe team of about 12 people has started to meet for prayer and planning.

It is our hope to open in April 2012!

We need wisdom on how to organize the cafe outreach in a way that doesn't violate our non-profit religious incorporation.

We will likely set up the cafe in a way that combines ministry services/opportunities like English classes, counseling, tutoring, etc. with coffee.

Praise God that we will be receiving a $12,000 espresso machine donation from a church in TX!!!

Pray for funds needed to furnish the cafe and for the kitchen installation which is only half done.

Pray for our team and for God to do great things!
