Ni hao, supporters, friends and family of the Yanji team!
We will be spending time with and mentoring the children of "field workes" in Yanji from December 11-14. Ivan and I will be in charge of the 11-16 year-olds. The theme this year is "We are Family", based on Philippians 2:1-5:
"Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."
I'm excited to announce my participation in this year's outreach trip, and hope that you will find it in your hearts to contribute to the cause either financially or in prayer--every little bit is appreciated!
