Dear friends and family,
This summer, from July 29 to August 6, 2026, I will be joining the Jubilee Church Sri Lanka Mission Team as we travel to Kandy, Sri Lanka. We will be partnering with the Ceylonese Evangelistic Association and local churches to serve pastors, children, youth, and communities.
I’m writing to invite you to partner with me through prayer and, if you are able, financial support.
During our time in Sri Lanka, our team will take part in children’s and youth ministry, encourage pastors and ministry leaders, support local churches through practical service, and build relationships with the community.
Many of these moments may seem unremarkable as they happen. But I think much of meaningful ministry often happens in ordinary ways — through attention and patience, shared meals and awkward first conversations, laughter and prayer, and simply being present with one another.
I hope this trip becomes a time of shared life in Christ — not simply just helping, teaching, or giving, but offering what we have, learning what God is already doing through the local church, and growing through one another’s faith, stories, and presence. And through it all, I hope we will be reminded that God’s work is larger, deeper, and more beautiful than anything we could imagine on our own.
Our time there will be short, but even brief moments can last. A conversation, a prayer, a meal, a song, or even a simple act of presence can remain long after we return.
My prayer is that during this trip, the love of Christ would become visible in small and ordinary ways — in humility, service, attentiveness, laughter, and prayer. I hope the people we meet would be encouraged, that our team would also be changed, and that together, we would be reminded again of the simple truth at the centre of it all — Jesus loves me.
Please pray for our team — that we would be united, humble, healthy, and led by the Holy Spirit. Pray for the churches, pastors, children, youth, and communities we will meet. Please also pray for me, that I would go with an open heart, willing hands, and deeper trust in God.
If you are able to support financially, your generosity would help cover travel expenses, ministry supplies, local program costs, and the practical needs connected to serving in Sri Lanka.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for walking with me in this journey.
With gratitude,
Seungdae Kim
