Hello, friends,
This fall, in October, my team and I (15 of us in total) will be
going on a short-term mission trip to Sri Lanka for 9 days. Sri
Lanka is an island nation located south of India, where about 70%
of the population practices Buddhism. This creates many
opportunities to share the gospel.
During our time there, we will lead a VBS program for children
and youth in the Nuwara Eliya region, which is about 5 hours away
from the capital city, Colombo. We are excited that our team can
go, serve, and share the love of God in this country to help
expand His kingdom.
In Matthew 28:19–20, Jesus gives us the Great
Commission: to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” He
also promises to be with us to the very end of the age. And in
Acts 1:8, we are reminded that we will receive
power from the Holy Spirit to be His witnesses in Jerusalem,
Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Friends, would you prayerfully consider joining me in this

personally to cover airfare, accommodations, and other expenses.

올해 가을 10월에 저와 저희 팀(총 15명)은 9일간의 단기 선교를 위해 스리랑카에 가게 됩니다. 스리랑카는 인도
남쪽에 위치한 섬나라로, 인구의 약 70%가 불교를 믿고 있습니다. 그렇기에 복음을 전할 수 있는 많은 기회가 있는
곳입니다.
저희는 수도 콜롬보에서 약 5시간 떨어진 누와라엘리야 지역에서 어린이와 청소년들을 위한 VBS 프로그램을 진행할
예정입니다. 하나님의 나라를 확장하기 위해 이 땅에서 섬기고, 복음을 전하며, 하나님의 사랑을 나눌 수 있다는 사실에
큰 기대와 설렘이 있습니다.
마태복음 28:19–20에서 예수님은 “그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아
아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 베풀라” 하시며 우리에게 지상명령을 주셨습니다. 또한 세상 끝날까지 우리와
함께하시겠다고 약속하셨습니다. 그리고 사도행전 1:8에서는 성령이 임하시면 우리가
권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅끝까지 이르러 주님의 증인이 될 것이라 말씀하십니다.
