Dear Friends & Family,
It is my great joy and privilege to share that I will be going to Sri Lanka this October on a missions trip with Jubilee Church!
Our team is partnering with the Ceylonese Evangelistic Association, a trusted local ministry, to serve the people of Sri Lanka in tangible and spiritual ways. We will be:
- Serving children and youth through gospel-centered programs
- Training local leaders to grow and sustain ministry
- Helping with church restoration through physical labor and construction
- Building relationships that share the hope and love of Jesus
One thing I have come to realize as an adult is that 'life is not easy.' Moreover, it seems even more difficult to live as the light and salt of this earth, as God's image-bearers. However, the Lord that I have experienced has always been faithful and has been with me in every situation. I have come to realize that all the difficulties and painful situations I have experienced and will experience in the future are challenges that God allows for my growth and stepping stones for my spiritual maturity. Although this step towards Sri Lanka may be at times uncomfortable and challenging as it is a step outside of my comfort zone, I am looking forward to it with great excitement and anticipation because I believe that the Lord will use this trip in mighty ways.
Through this opportunity, I desire to gain a deeper understanding of God’s love for the world, to experience His work and presence, and to see myself grow and transform even more.
Though it will be a challenging journey, I believe it will be a valuable experience filled with growth and blessings, and I am determined to move forward in obedience.
I would be grateful if you could join me in prayer and financial support for me, my team members, and the people of Sri Lanka, whom God looks upon with great favor.

주님 안의 가족 여러분께,
안녕하세요~ 오랜만에 기도편지로 인사드립니다.
오랜 기도제목이었던 단기선교라는 꿈이 드디어 이루어지게 되어 여러분과 이 기쁜 소식을 나누고자 합니다.
이번에 주빌리 교회측에서 저를 포함한 15명의 귀한 형제 자매님들과 함께 추석 기간을 빌어 스리랑카 민족을 섬기고자 합니다.
저희는 Ceylonese Evangelistic Association이라는 현지 사역부와 함께 주님의 백성을 다음과 같이 섬길 예정입니다.
- 복음 중심의 프로그램을 통해 어린이와 청소년을 섬기기
- 지역 리더들을 훈련시켜 사역을 성장시키고 지속 가능하게 만들기
- 물리적 노동과 건설을 통해 교회 복구를 돕기
- 예수님의 희망과 사랑을 나누는 관계를 구축하기
어른이 되고 나서 느끼는 점은 '참 세상 살기 쉽지 않다'입니다. 더구나, 이 땅의 빛과 소금으로, 주님의 형상을 닮은 거룩한 모습으로 살아가기는 더더욱 어려운 것 같습니다. 하지만 제가 여태까지 경험한 바, 주님은 늘 신실하셨고 그 어떠한 상황 가운데서도 저와 함께 하셨습니다. 제가 경험하고 앞으로도 경험할 모든 어려움과 고통스러운 상황들이 저의 성장을 위한, 하나님께서 허락하시는 도전이고, 제 영적인 성숙함을 위한 발판이 될 것 이라는 것을 깨달았습니다. 스리랑카를 향한 발걸음도, 안전지대를 벗어나는 것이기에 불편하고 힘든 상황들이 닥칠 수 있겠지만, 그만큼 주님께서 크게 사용하실 것이라는 것을 믿기에 기대가 많이 됩니다.
이번 계기를 통해서 세상을 향한 하나님의 사랑을 더욱 깊게 알아가고, 하나님의 역사하심과 임재하심을 맛보고, 그리고 한층 더 성장하고 변화할 저를 보고 싶습니다.
쉽지 않은 도전이 되겠지만, 또 그만큼 더 값진 성장과 축복이 경험이 될 것이라는 것을 믿고, 순종으로 나아가려고 합니다.
저와 제 팀원들을 위해, 그리고 하나님께서 어여쁘게 여기시는 스리랑카의 사람들을 위해서 기도와 물질적 후원으로 함께해주시면 감사하겠습니다.
