Letter from MountainChild
[Excerpt from a letter from Jack, Director of MountainChild to Pastor David, Jubilee Church]
We’ve managed to deliver aid to over 30 villages all by helicopter as the footpaths still remain closed due to ongoing landslides that sweep away whole mountains along with the many suspension bridges. Our ground team has found old remote mountain yak trails and have reached the most isolated villages by foot. We are gaining traction but still need another three weeks to get supplies into remote villages via these remote routes.
In the midst of all this, I experienced a glorious bright spot today. Hearts in a previously unreached people group cried out for Christ today, it took an earthquake to break their hearts open but light is shinning in places where only darkness has ruled. It is just a beginning but a beautiful beginning. I have hope today that God is turning all of these circumstance for the praise of His name amongst all peoples.
We would be so encouraged to know that Jubilee is standing shoulder to shoulder with us in these efforts.
