Support Christine's mission trip to Indonesia!

Hello to my lovely family and friends,

I hope this letter finds you doing well! I have been in Korea for almost two years now, and this past year has been one of immense growth and joy for me. I certainly did not think I would still be here, but God’s plan is always so much better than what we can imagine. To give you a short update, I stopped working as an English teacher in February, then I participated in a musical, and I am now taking Korean classes at Sogang University. I started attending Jubilee Church last summer, and I still can’t believe how blessed I am to be surrounded by an amazing community, full of brothers and sisters that love the Lord. As my faith has grown, so has my desire to share with others about Christ, so they too can rejoice in our wonderful God. Therefore, I am excited to tell you that I will be going on my first mission trip to Indonesia from August 18-24 with a group of about 15 people.

We will spend most of our time at the village of Sendayan, working on projects, such as Vacation Bible School, teaching about sanitation (where we will show the mothers how to make soap for potential revenue), building a community center, and training pastors. These projects will help support the work of Ryan and Carolyn, two missionaries from Jubilee, who are collaborating with “Food for the Hungry”, an organization dedicated to working together with impoverished communities to help create a healthier environment for future generations. To find out more about this organization, please go to fh.org.

If you feel led to support us financially, your donation would be most appreciated, but more importantly, please pray for our team!! Here are some of my prayer requests:

- For unity and healing for the village of Sendayan

Due to the village being Christian in a predominantly Muslim country, they receive little to no governmental support. In addition, they face many critical problems, such as poor health and sanitation, lack of education and income sources, and spiritual issues from witchcraft to domestic abuse.

- For unity and right-relatedness within the team, with the support staff in Indonesia, and with God

Please pray that God will give our team, especially the leaders, wisdom and guidance and that the Holy Spirit will just fill us with apostolic passion!!

- For protection physically, spiritually, and emotionally

- For one of the days, we will be in the Muslim village of Teluk Meku, so please pray that God will give us discernment and for the people’s hearts to be open to receiving God’s love

Thank you to everyone for all your love, support, prayers, and encouragement. Whether I have known you all my life or just recently, you have been a blessing in my life. May God bless you richly and abundantly!!!

All the best,

Christine
