First of all, thank you for deciding to take your time to read through my support letter.
I greatly appreciate your interest and consideration upon choosing to support me and our team for 2012 short-term missions in Indonesia.
I have been re-thinking about our calling for the past year and came to a conclusion that my life didn't reflect the gospel-centered mission in which Jesus displayed. Thus, I had to pray about where I stood before God and His purpose for me. I knew from the beginning of my conversion that our calling is to become true worshipers of Him, knowing His heart meant going to missions.
Initially, I had the opportunity to go on a short-term mission trip to Indonesia in April with gospel-mission group called MME. One thing that I asked God to grant me from the trip was to know more of His heart. And He did. Although it wasn't by means of miraculous wonders but by simply allowing me to devote more time to read upon the Gospel. And He still inspires me to read on and study His Words to meditate upon the glory of God in the gospel-missions.
Recently, I have resigned from my company to pursue with more vigor and focus to fully embrace God's grace and mercy in His invitation to carry the cross and show of His love to His people through various short-term mission trips. And I had made a decision to participate in His glorious purpose of going to another short-term missions to Indonesia with Jubilee in August. For this trip, we will be heading to Medan, Sumatra from August 25th to September 1st. We will be helping out and sharing God's love through various activities through an international organization called Food for the Hungry.
So I invite you to participate with me and our team to pray for Indonesia and if possible, be our financial supporter as well.
