To my dear family and friends,
Hey everyone! I hope all is well with you. It's been awhile since we've talked, and I just want to update on what is going on with my life recently.
Life goes on, and it changes. I have been attending Jubilee Church since March of 2010, and this is my first time going on a mission trip through our church. Over the years, I have been working as a Registered Nurse in the department of Operating Room at a university hospital, clinical research coordinator, and clinical research associate. Within church, I have served in Ecclesia as an assistant manager for about 9 months. Currently, I am taking some time off from my work, and enjoying being unemployeed, and I thought to myself that this might be a great opportunity for me to serve in a mission trip with no limiting myself to three to four days of vacation from work!!! What an awesome chance!
Jubilee's main vision is missions, a vision I also dreamed of since I was in third grade, and I am so honored to have a privilege to help serve in Heartland starting July 26th thru August 1st. As you may or may not know, Heartland is located north to Seoul which has many rural areas. The city has many families in poverty, need of proper education, and lots of positive attention. Our time in Heartland will focus specifically on serving the children from elementary students to high school students with VBS program. We will have 15 of us going from Jubilee church to serve for Heartland.
Once again, God has a perfection timing for me for this mission trip. Since 2010, I have waited for this moment to come but, because of business within my nursing school summer hospital duties, I wasn't able to take some time to go on any mission trips. I am truly thankful for what He has provided for me.
I ask for your support in praying for the team, leader Pastor Sangmin, and churches in Heartland. Pray that we will bundle up with the full armor of God so that we stand against the devil's schemes For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and agianst the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:11~12)
Please also pray that all members will be willing to give their energy, time, and love to the Lord without going through the burden of financial issues. I will be very grateful if you feel led to support financially.
