Dear Family and Friends,
With His unfailing love, God always shows His mercy over me in every step of my life. My God, who does not break a bruised reed, has been faithful enough to cover my weaknesses with His love and kindness. As I grow in the knowledge of Him, I have learned how delightful it is to walk with Him as His sheep, bride, and His beloved child. Because of His grace to shine His face upon me, my heart has been filled with the joyful desire of serving Him as His disciple.
God has also shown me His immeasurable love and compassion toward His people, especially for kids who are broken and in need. As meeting many children from many different backgrounds, at schools and day-care centers where I worked as a music teacher, I realized how deeply they need to be loved and how deeply God loves them. It became my vision and hope to be an instrument for God and for children to bring His love and life and help them be alive again in Christ. I have also seen how faint burning wicks can grow to become the light of the world like what Jesus has done for me; he has healed and restored me, even though I was once, just a bruised reed in the world.
I am going to go to Heartland Missions this year with my church, Jubilee Church. It is a mission trip to serve His kids here in Korea and a step of my journey to embrace them with His love. Heartland is a short-term mission trip to a rural area near Seoul called Namyaungju where there is a need for Christ. We are going to have a VBS(Vacation Bible School) style English Camp for 5 days from August 5th to 9th for the kids there, who are in comparison less fortunate and in need of God’s love. Two-hundred kids from various different churches will gather together to attend this VBS. We are going to have fun activities, games, worship sessions, and intimate times with them and share the Gospel together.
My prayer requests are :
1 For the team members : be united as one body of Christ, be sensitive to His Spirit, grow in faith in Him.
2 For me : be humble and strong in Christ, be able to hear His voice and follow Him.
3 For the kids and the local churches : find the only living hope in Christ, bring His constant joy and peace to the people there.
God is already working there for His name’s sake. I am excited to see His work and His beautiful children there in Namyangju. Thank you for your joining my journey of faith with prayers and/or financial support.
