Welcome to Heartland 2013!
I can truly say that through God's grace, Heartland continues every year. It is always an honor and priviledge to be able to serve amongst beautiful brothers and sisters of Christ with the same heart and vision. And what an honor and joy it is to serve as His hands and feet to spread His love for the children of Namyangjoo.
Time and time again, I am reminded that God loves heartland. And when I say love, He LOVES. He loves the children of Namyangjoo. Even though no one may really care that they live in the rural outskirts of Seoul. Though no one may care that they are underpriviledged, struggle with inferiority complex, barely have parents at home to take care of them if they have any, hardly ever get a chance to receive a competitive education which results in them having almost no chance of attaining a competitive vocation, and hence the crazy cycle repeats on and on for generations. But. God sees. God cares. And He loves.
He hears the cries and prayers of the people of Namyangjoo. And Jubilee has been able to help be a small but integral part of being a loving light to the people of Namyangjoo through Heartland. Although we play but a minuscule part in the grand scheme of His plans for Namyangjoo, Heartland has been a joyous endeavor in bringing His gospel and His care to the children there.
Heartland provides a 5 day English Camp for the children of Namyangjoo. Where these kids, many of whom can never afford to go to hakwons like their counterpart Seoulites, receive individual attention and learn from competitive english curriculums that are carefully made and arranged by the leaders of Heartland here at Jubilee.
Heartland also provides a 5 day VBS Program for these children. Where kids can learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ and His love in a fun, comfortable, and exciting environment.
Our goal is to provide as much love, care, goodness, and intimacy to the children of Namyangjoo being the ultimate vessel of His hands, His feet, and His heart. And your support will help us do all that we can for the children of Namyangjoo. God particular has a certain fondness towards children. And I can sense why. When something touches these children at this certain age, it clearly impacts and shapes the rest of their lives. I humbly but dare say, let's help mold them into beautiful people of God together.
