Hello,
It’s been already three years moving back to Korea and I am grateful for joining a good church community like Jubilee and having fellowship with God’s people in Seoul.
This summer I decided to join and serve a retreat program, English Unification Camp (EUC). The EUC aims at bringing people from North and South Korea, primarily the Youth, together by learning about different cultures and views within Christ. Thus this program also provides good opportunities of learning the Gospel and sharing life stories among participants.
As a researcher in the arts management and cultural policy field, I have investigated inter-Korean relations especially employing the arts and culture as mediating tools for reconciling people from North and South Korea and enhancing mutual understanding between them. I confess that there was God’s intervention and initiative for me to choose the research topic while pursuing my degree.
This time once again God has intervened and led me to expand and embrace this issue and the people from professional level to more personal. To be honest, I feel weak and not fully prepared yet but I believe that when I am weak, the Mighty God and Holy Spirit can work more within me in order to fulfill His plan for good.
