“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalms 139:23-24
Dear Family and Friends,
Hello! I pray this letter finds you well. The sweltering summer days of Korea are quickly approaching and a new season lies ahead. I hope that all is well in your family, workplace, and church/community. I’m so excited to share with you an opportunity this summer I will serve on a mission’s trip in S. Korea. Thank you for taking time to read this letter.
I never imagined that I would be finishing up my second year in Korea. It’s by the grace of God that He’s placed me exactly where I’m supposed to be. This past year, God has been healing and sowing in me a renewed spirit and I’ve been covered by His relentless love. He’s been so faithful. Praise God! Long ago, God placed in my heart compassion and love for children/youth. In so, I’ve been lead to serve for my first time on a mission’s trip this July.
On July 25-29th, I will serve on a team from Jubilee Church to minister to the youth (6th grade-Seniors in High School) of the S. Koreans and N. Korean refugees at an English Revival Camp (ERC) just outside of Seoul in Gyeonggi Province. The purpose of this mission’s trip is to share the Gospel and proclaim the true word of God while establishing a unity for North and South Koreans. It will also be a time to build character, spiritual growth and maturity, and developing identities as followers of Christ. All this will be under the context of English. In preparation, our team will create bible studies and English dramas; also, we will lead small groups, discussions, and fellowship. This year’s theme will focus on Psalms 139:23-24. I pray that I may be lead by the Holy Spirit and outpour God’s love for his children.
While God has opened doors for me to serve, we will need prayers for the following:
1. Prayer for Team – Jubilee will be partnering with Heavenly Dream School and Nehemiah team (U.S.). We need prayer for unity amongst all volunteers & staff in that we may be lead by the Holy Spirit with each divine encounter.
2. Prayer for Students – I request for prayer in reconciliation & unification between N. Koreans and S. Koreans and that God’s protection cover each individual. Also, each student may experience the power of God’s grace and love, even long after the camp.
Another way you can be involved is to help provide financial support. If you are able to support this trip please visit www.jubilink.com (ERC 2011) to make your donations.
I am excited about the opportunity to serve and to minister, and I ask you to join me in this summer’s mission trip through prayer and support. Thank you in advance for all your prayers, financial support, and guidance in my life. God Bless!
In Christ,
Hayme Park
