Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Hallelujah!
I’m honored and privileged to partake in the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ, who is a Missionary God! “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
Since starting my first semester of MDiv studies at Torch Trinity Graduate School, I feel God is calling me not only to study his Word but also live my life by being obedient to his Word and this verse has been put on my heart:
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27)
I have grown up as a missionary kid and spent a significant part of my life on the mission field but this will be my first time going on a mission trip myself so I’m very excited.
I will be serving with the Jubilee Church mission team at the City of Hope from July 9th to July 16th and teaching and interacting with middle school students at an English camp through skits, dance, teaching English, and various activities.
Please pray for:
- 1) Unity in the team as one body of Christ in one Spirit
- 2) That I will be filled and empowered with the Holy Spirit and be sensitive to his leading
- 3) Love of Jesus will be shown and experienced for the kids in the school
- 4) Spiritual and physical protection for the whole team
- 5) Financial provision (each member is raising 1.2 million K)
