To The Ends of The Earth
Dear Brothers and sisters in Christ,
As most of you may already know, Jubilee Church is sending out several teams this summer on missions. Amongst those, I will humbly be joining the Harbin Mission Team (July 9 - 16) to carry out the joyful yoke of the command Jesus has given us.
So far, I have been on four mission trips throughout my walk in faith. And I have the confidence to tell you all four were immense blessings. Like Pastor Robert Oh preached: “It is much better to give than to receive”. I understood this preaching because during missions, the act of giving actually became a twofold blessing to me and to those I was ministering to. That is why time and time again, I understood Jesus’ command for us to “make disciples of all nations” is not a heavy burden, but rather an edifying blessing in disguise.
These revelations are what motivated me to go on mission trips even though every trip was gone during the most (seemingly) trying times. However, in retrospect, those timings were impeccable to the very second… And that is why I embark on yet another trip.
Like most, if not all, the mission trips I’ve been on, this trip too, is very short on time with a seemingly insurmountable amount of preparations left. I know however, all the planning in the world done by man cannot come close to the doings by the pinkie of our Lord… So I would like to be very frank and short in my requests.
Please pray, that everything we do will be lead by the Lord and we trust everything unto Him with obedient hearts. And that through our obedience, everything we come short in will actually be used in a crazier way.
Please pray for the children we will be ministering to. That their hearts will be open and thirsty as a mule.
Personally, please pray that I would be excited for this trip. Please also pray that I commit fully to the preparations of the trip, and that I spend more time with the Lord not only for the trip, but also post-missions.
