Dear family and friends,
As summer begins, I hope you’re doing well and anticipating all the fun that this season brings. As you may know, I’ve lived in Seoul, Korea for almost 3 years now. God has been so good and faithful in this time, but I am preparing to wrap up my time in Korea this summer. By His grace, I am going on one more mission trip before I leave. This will be my third mission with Jubilee Church, and my second to China. God has completely amazed me each time in what He can accomplish in and through us, even in our weaknesses. I’m sure this mission will be no exception!
This mission will take place from July 10th until July 17th at a school in northern China, where God is already doing amazing things, raising up a generation for Christ! Jubilee sends a team to the school twice a year to serve at English camps. About 12 of us will be leading a camp for 8th grade students. You might remember my last trip to this school in January 2009. It was such a blessing to see the faith that God is cultivating in many of these kids’ hearts even in a nation closed to the Gospel. Our purpose in going, beyond the teaching and camp activities, is to continue building relationships and connecting with the young believers and non-believers of the school. For me personally, it is so special to have an opportunity to go back and reconnect with the students I met 18 months ago, and to see all the ways they have been growing.
There are also some ways you can get involved in supporting this trip from anywhere in the world! More than anything, I hope you will join us in prayer for this trip. We need so much prayer both now and when we are in China! Please pray for:
~ Unity in our team – no division or conflicts
~Protection in general – physical and spiritual!
~ Wisdom, diligence, and a right heart in preparing the curriculum and activities
~ For God to prepare the way before us and glorify Himself through us
~ For an opening of the students’ eyes and hearts to see and desire Christ, and for opportunities for our team members to share our faith with sensitivity, as the Holy Spirit leads.
~ That I will personally be surrendered to God and trust Him in every aspect of this trip.

I’m also in the process of raising financial support for this trip. By faith, we’re raising support of about 1,000,000 won ($900) per person for the trip.
