Hi~:)This is Adrianne. I can’t believe I just graduated from high school and will be heading off to college in August! It has been a long and hard journey but I was able to finish strong because God was always there and was giving me the strength to go on. Throughout my senior year, He taught me the importance of letting go of my own desires and fully depending on him- through the college application process, and through the struggles at home and at school. The fact that I graduated from high school is slowly sinking in and I realized that one of the greatest opportunities I’ve been blessed with has been my attendance at YISS. It was through this school that I heard about God for the first time in my life and that I came to love missions. Ever since 8th grade, I’ve been exposed to mission trips, but it wasn’t until my junior year summer that I realized the true meaning of it. After going through some ups and downs in my life during my junior year, I went on the JYM retreat last summer and recommitted my life there. Since then, God’s been doing so much in my life, and has given me more opportunities to go on mission trips. I was able go to China in January and recently to Manila, Philippines.
God is providing me with another opportunity to go to China. From July 10th-17th, the Harbin team from Jubilee Church will be serving at a school in China, and will be running a Middle School English Camp. I would like to share a few of my prayer requests with you guys. Please pray for…
- The unity of the team
- That our hearts will be opened to what God is trying to teach us and that we will be bold for Christ
- God’s protection- physically, mentally and spiritually
- That I won’t be distracted my other thoughts that are in my mind but let go of everything and let God do the work.
