Cambodia 2012

Fundraising Completed

Freely we shall receive....and freely we shall give. =)

To my beloved family and friends,

Hey everyone! First off I hope life is treating you all beautifully these days. I wanted to take a second to catch ya’ll up to speed with what’s been going on in life lately.

There’s one thing that’s constant in life…and that one thing is change.  A lot has changed since I’ve last seen or talked to you all. Work and life have been exciting over here in Korea.  After my one year dental residency the Lord has led me to come practice here at Osan Air Base.  On my off time I’ve been trekking up to Seoul often where I’m involved at Jubilee Church.  I’ve met some pretty incredible people here at Jubilee and continue to be challenged by the Lord and my community here.

At the center of Jubilees vision is missions, a vision I also wish to embrace. With that being said I’ve been given the opportunity and privilege to help serve in Cambodia starting July 29th thru August 5th.  As you may or may not know, Cambodia is a developing country trying to overcome the consequences of war, conflict and the Khmer Rouge regime.  The countries challenges are interlined with human trafficking, poverty and access to education issues to name a few.  In the midst of many difficulties there still are men, women and children poised and ready to make their country strong.  Our time in Cambodia will focus specifically on serving the children and next generation of Cambodia.  Along our side will be teams from other churches as well as YWAM DTS ministry.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned here in Korea it’s that everything is in God’s control including timing.  Initially I wasn’t sure if I could even go on the trip due to my military work schedule.  Thankfully the Lord has paved a way and now here I am! I’m excited to see how our team will be used in Cambodia.

Prayer indeed is powerful and most important.  I ask for your support in praying for our team, our leader Pastor Tae, missionary leaders and for the dramatic restitution of  Cambodia.  Pray that we will ready our hearts and be steadfast in our efforts.  Please also pray all members will be able to freely give their energy and time preparing without the burden of finances looming over our heads.  If you feel led to support financially just know how grateful I am for even the thought.

Again thanks for all of your support, prayers and thoughts!!!

Most sincerely,

Tyson Chung
