How Beautiful Are The Feet...

"How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring Good News of good things!" Romans 10:14-15

Dear Family and Friends,

Over the years you have been my faithful partners in your prayers and support. You've been there through my trips to Jamaica, Ecuador, the Appalacians, and Thailand. You have faithfully prayed for me as I prepared for God's work in university. Also, many of you have poured countless hours of Truth into my life and have been instruments used to refine me into who I am today. I can never thank you all enough for all you've given to me over these past years. I am reminded frequently of God's faithfulness as you come to mind.

As many of you know, the Lord has called me into full-time ministry to proclaim His Good news to the nations. He guided my steps, provided a godly husband with similar vision, and has led us to teach in Korea. We've been here for around 2 1/2 years and He continues to mold me and grow me everyday. Since arriving in Korea, I've been wanting to go on a missions trip. At first, I wanted to go to China to distribute Bibles; but the dates didn't coincide with my vacation time from work. Last year, I was going to go to the Philipines and then the Lord blessed me with the opportunity to meet my birth mom. Looking back at these times, I realized I wasn't in a place where I could be effective or that it wasn't God's timing.

However, God knows the desires of our hearts and this summer I have the opportunity to partner with my church (Jubilee), DTS (a YWAM based discipleship training school) and other churches to work in Cambodia from July 29th until August 5th. While we are there, we will be interacting at a camp with Cambodian young adults near Kampongsam. Together we will worship, pray, outreach, and serve in the local community there. We will also be ministering to the children and villagers through concerts, prayer, handing out medicine, witnessing and sharing our testimonies.

As a part of the least evangelized (or not at all) 10/40 window, Cambodia is one of the darkest areas in the world. According to the CIA World Factbook, around 96% of Cambodians are Buddhist while around 2% are Muslim. The estimated number of professing Christians is a mere 268,000 people of the 14,000,000 living there today. This means that less than 2% know Christ as Savior.

Cambodia also suffers from a traumatic past that has crippled the economy and parlyzed the hearts and minds of the people there. With 31% of the population living below poverty, the sex trade has become an ever increasing form of income. With most families living on around $300 a year, many are turning to selling their own children in order to survive. In an article by NBC's Dateline, they interviewed a woman that said there must be at least 300,000 children working in this trade in Cambodia today. What a staggering number!

We need to send workers into the field before it is too late. Children are being sold and kidnapped everyday because these people are living in hopelessness and fear. They don't know that there is a God who loves them. Please join me in starting a revolution today. Help bring the light to this dark place.

Please respond if you are feeling led to support my team and I through prayer or financially. Thank-you in advance for your participation in this project.

God Bless,

Ann
