Dear Church, Family and Friends,
I am delighted to write you about my upcoming missions trip to Cambodia with Jubilee Church. From July 31 to August 7, our team of 8 women will join Pastor Jenny Oh in her ministry to orphans and women in Cambodia. We will spend a few days loving on the children at the Center for Peace orphanage and then the rest of the time ministering to Cambodian women attending an inner healing conference, through prayer, a skit, and a body worship. Cambodia has a very dark history of genocide in the 1970s under the Khmer Rouge, which has undoubtedly left deep scars and many in need of healing. Cambodia has been on my heart for a while and I am excited to be heading there in just a few weeks. We believe in Christ's power to heal the brokenhearted and set captives free.
In the initial months after arriving in Korea, God spoke into my heart that he wanted me to experience more of his deep love for me in order that I may show that love to others.“We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19).The past year that I’ve been in Korea has been very hard at times but so very good! God has been revealing so much of Himself to me during this past year by refining me through fire, showing me how to love Him by obeying Him, and teaching me to wait and rest in His presence. These processes have allowed me to experience his love in deeper ways and with joy I can say it is the place I want to dwell all the days of my life!
I am amazed that God desires for us to partner with Him to restore the world He loves so much back into relationship with Him. I keep asking myself, “Who am I to do this?!” We are nothing apart from God but He still wants to use us. It is only by his mercy and his grace that we are saved and so my response is, "Lord, use me for your glory."
Would you please pray for me, my team, and the people of Cambodia? Please pray for:
- inner healing for the Cambodian women
- that each and every one of the children at the orphanage will experience God’s love through us
- unity and alignment to God’s will among our team members
- physical and spiritual protection of our team members
