Hello everyone!
I want to give a shout out to y’all that yay(!) I’m going on a mission trip to Indonesia this summer! Now that it’s been 2 years since I’ve settled in Korea, I was finally able to say yes to missions this year. Thank God for that! On this trip, my team and I, a total of 13 people will travel to villages in North Sumatra from August 24-30. We will partner with Food for the Hungry and serve the local Indonesians in the villages. Our trip includes of a community building project, VBS for children, soap making class, pastor’s training and a community revival meeting.
In order to make this mission possible, my team and I need your support. The total cost of this trip is ₩1,500,000 KRWon ($1500 USD), which includes the cost of my flight ticket, ground transportation, housing, food and supplies. I have pledged half the amount (₩750,000 KRWon), and I still have half more to go!
Financial support is much needed, but prayers are more! Some prayer requests include:
- For mine and each member’s heart to be ready to be used by God
- For the community that we will be serving in North Sumatra (that the Lord would be preparing hearts)
- For team unity within the 13, and with our partner, Food for the Hungry
- For activity preparations - VBS, arts&craft, body worship, skit, soap making class and etc.
- For safety, health and spiritual protection
Missions is only something I/we can do here on Earth. I look forward to spreading God’s love, serving His people and experiencing Him. I promise to share with you what I have witnessed once I come back!

안녕하세요! 제가 이번 여름에 인도네시아로 단기 선교를 떠나게 되었습니다. 제가 한국에 온 지도 2년이 되었는데요, 그동안은 한국에 적응하느라 정신이 없었지만 이제는 한국 생활에 많이 익숙해져서 다른 나라로 선교를 떠나게 되었습니다. 할렐루야! 이번 선교는 저를 포함해서 총 13명의 청년들이 인도네시아 North Sumatra로 떠나 8월 24일부터 30일까지 사역을 하게 됩니다. 그 곳에서 저희는 Food for the Hungry팀과 협력하여 인도네시아인들에게 전도를 하게 됩니다. 주된 저희의 사역은 집 짓기 프로젝트, 어린이 여름 성경 학교, 비누 만들기, 목사 훈련 등 입니다.
이 단기 선교가 주님 안에서 온전하게 진행되기 위해서는 여러분의 많은 관심과 기도가 필요합니다! 이번 선교를 위한 비용은 한 사람 당 150만원($1500 USD)인데 여기에는 비행기표 값, 교통비, 숙박비, 식비가 포함되어 있습니다. 그런데 현재 저는 단기 선교 비용의 절 반인 75만원만 준비된 상황입니다. 아직 절 반이 부족한 것이죠. 이 또한 기도 부탁드립니다.
재정적인 문제가 해결되는 것 역시 매우 중요하지만, 이외의 기도 제목들에 대한 여러분의 기도도 꼭 필요합니다. 다음의 기도제목들을 기억하시고 생각나실 때 기도 부탁드립니다:
- 저와 저희 멤버들이 하나님이 사용하시기에 부족함이 없는 마음 바탕이 준비되도록
- 저희를 통해 North Sumatra 커뮤니티 사람들의 마음이 열리도록
- 저희 팀 13명 모두가 하나가 되며, 함께 사역하는 Food for the Hungry와도 하나가 될 수 있도록
- 사역에 대한 사전 준비가 잘 이뤄지도록
- 현지에서 팀원들의 안전과 건강, 영적인 보호를 위하여
선교는 이 세상에서 사는 동안만 가능한 것이라고 합니다. 인도네시아에서 하나님의 사랑을 나누고, 섬기며, 하나님을 좀 더 깊이 경험할 수 있는 시간이 되었으면 합니다. 한국으로 돌아와서 꼭 저의 간증을 여러분과 함께 나누겠습니다!
