Hi there!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for being apart of my
life. Whether your a family member overseas, a dear friend, or
apart of my greater community through the Church.
Regardless of how we may know each other, I hope this letter
finds you well!
This year has been quite exciting so far. Getting married, no
longer working, and still living in Korea, I can't help but look
to God and wonder what more He has for me in this country.
This summer I was given the oppertuniy to volunteer for
summer missions. Since I'm not working, my schedule is was
completely open to choose from any of the summer trip opptions.
But since life was so hectic with the wedding, I forgot to sign
up. But sure enough, EUC (English Unification Camp) was looking
for more volunteers.
Mike and I both have a heart for Korea. Serving in the Homeless
Ministry at Seoul Station has really open our hearts to what God
is doing in this nation and the amazing future He has in store.
But beyond restoring hope to the poor here in South Korea, we see
God's plan extending into North Korea. God wants His message of
hope to reach all people.
So this summer, I am overly excited to be volunteering with the
English Unification Camp which works at unifying youth from North
and South Korea through the love of Christ and the English
Language (perhaps now those years teaching at the Korean Middle
school may pay off!).
I ask that you will join us as we work to unify the hearts of the
students and intercede for the future unification of Korea.
You can join us through prayer support, financial support, or
both!
This camp will require a lot of covering in prayer. So if
you choose to support us this way, I ask that you pray for the
following things:
-Myself and the team: That we will have unity in the Spirit; that we will not be fearful, but bold to proclaim the glory of the Lord through our prayers, actions, and words; that we will be sensitivity to the hearts we come in contact with; that we will be safe throughout the duration of the trip.
- Those we meet: That our interactions will speak of God’s love for His children; that we can adequately support their educational and spiritual needs.
- Logistics:
Training, Scheduling, Finances, Transportation, Lodging,
Supplies, and all that fun stuff.
Also, this year Jubilee Church has been asked to sponser 10
scholarships for North Korean students. What an amazing way to
make a difference in someone's future! As a team we have
committed or raising a portion of this support through Jubilink.
So If you would like to support me on this trip, or give towards
the Scholarship Fund, please feel free to donate to the EUC
project on jubilink.com
Thank you for your prayers and any financial help you can
offer!
-Kristen
