Hello my beloved ones! I hope all is well with you.
This summer, I'm going to English Unification Camp, as known as EUC, again. It'll be my third EUC since 2011!! who knew I'll go to this camp for 3 years? :D
To be very honest, I didn't really plan to go to EUC this year
since I felt what I badly need was only rest at my summer break.
It was really tough to pass through last April and May,
so it made me just feel having no energy physically and
mentally to meet new people and take care of them. But I
still remembered what I prayed for before I got my job and it
became a burden to ignore. So I tried to make a deal with
God through a wrong prayer, but God even used the improper
prayer. He answered the prayer beyond my expectation and
directed me to EUC. I was displeased that God didn't allow me to
do what I wanted at that moment. But I still trust Him providing
me what I need the most. He knows me, what I like, what I
need and what is the best for me more and better than
myself. I trust my Creator and my Designer and that is the reason
why I can obey Him. And thankfully, I'm getting excited as
the camp is coming!!
Last year, we, staff and students, all were
overwhelmed by incomparable joy from the Heaven during
EUC. There was freedom, peace,
hope and love. It was an honor to see that kids devoting
themselves to live for Christ, dancing for freedom and joy
and dreaming unified Korea. We all were tightly bound
by the unity in Jesus. North and South students were
holding each other's hands, sharing their stories, and loving
each other. I believe God will
do even greater things this year. I'd like to inveite you
to witness this great experience with me. It'll be an awesome
opportuny to see how God transforms teenagers' lives and prepare
next generation of coming unificated Korea in the near future.
here are my prayer request.
Please pray
1. for unity.
- - All 120 staff will gather from Jubilee, OEM, NHM, colleges in Korea and American college missions association. We must love each other as one body, then the unity and love will overflow to students.
- - We'll have 60 students from North and 140 students from South. There is clearly deep cultural gap between North and South. But I believe God will break all barriers of our differences.
2. for protection. Please pray for God's protection covers all staffs and students before, during and even after the camp.
3. for God's
presence. Please pray that We all will be under
the wing of God. As the theme of EUC this year is "Be
transformed", God will transform all of us for His kingdom in His
power.
4. for me.
- I still need more desire and strength given from the Heaven in order to serve at EUC.
- I'll meet 24 students each hour for 4sections a day through craft workshop. Please pray that kids can have enough fun and memorable time through that time.
- The personal cost for this camp is 250,000won, and we, Jubilee team, will have the honor to support North Korean students with scholarship this time. So we are going to raise 350,000won for each member. If the Spirit moves your heart, please don't hesitate to join this honorable chance to bless our North Korean sisters and brothers with what we have.
