Dear Friends and Family,
I can't believe it's already been a year and half since I've been in Korea! It has been a unique experience to say the least after living in the States for so long. I apologize that I’m a horrible keep-in-touch person! I actually think about you all often and miss you all a lot. I also miss San Diego’s beaches, food, WEATHER, laidbackness…. Korea has been a lot of fun and also challenging at the same time. One thing I know for sure is that God had a purpose in bringing me here and continues to be faithful. I realize more and more each day how much I fall short and yet it’s all the more befuddling that He still remains constant in His love for me. I hope to connect with each one of you soon and share more about what’s happening in each other’s’ lives.
EUC 2013
This summer, I have an opportunity to serve at the English Unification Camp here in Korea. The vision of this summer camp is to bring students who defected from the North and South Koreans together through the Gospel. About 50 North Korean refugee students who currently study in South Korea will be together with 150 South Korean students. They will be mixed together in groups and for a week will learn about the situation between the two Koreas, practice using English, and most importantly, about Jesus.
The dates are July 22-26 and will be mostly junior high to high school students participating. The staff will consist of volunteers from different English ministries around Seoul, Heavenly Dream School (school specifically for the North Korean refugees), and team from the USA.
Prayer Request
- For my heart to be prepared to serve the students wholeheartedly.
-For each Bible class to plant seeds in the heart of each student who attends.
- For unity among the staff members.
- For each student who are attending to be touched individually in a powerful way by God and come to know Christ.
