Hi family and friends! :)
I am Ruby Peña, and I have been attending Jubilee for a year now. I am 21 years old, and currently on my second year of university here in Seoul at Sungkyunkwan University. For the past three years that I have been living here in Korea God has been so good to me! He has shown me how faithful He is, how loving, and how He wants to use us for His glory! I recommitted my life to Jesus last year! And as a result, and as I keep growing in my relationship with God, I have been feeling overwhelmed with the desire to serve others and share His love! For the past year, God has shown me his heart for the marginalized and broken-hearted people all around the world, and has made me thirst for His justice. ("Defend the cause of the weak, and fatherless; mantain the rights of the poor and oppressed" - Psalm 82:3)
An amazing opportunity opened up for me to go with a team of 10 people to serve at an orphanage called Center of Peace (www.coporphanage.com) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from July 26 to August 1, 2015! We will visit rural villages to evangelize, distribute medication packages, and host revival services. I decided to go for several reasons. First, I want to let God use me as an instrument to serve, and be a blessing for the children at the orphanage and for the people of a village near the capital of Cambodia that we will be visiting. Second, I want to see first-hand the amazing things God is doing in South East Asia. I know He wants to challenge me and show me how diverse He is. Lastly, God has giving me a heart to love children, especially those who come from broken homes and rejection. I am super excited to meet the children and pour all my love on them. I am eager to see God's plan throughout the process of making this trip happen as well!
I would really appreciate if you could partner with me in prayer and support! Our trip is coming soon, and my team and I need to raise around $1,700 (1,700,000 won) each for ministry supplies, expenses for the trip, and to support Pastor Jenny! If you are feeling led to, please help us out!
