Project Update: Urgent Need for Family
Jubilee Church offers Mercy Ministry assistance to those in our community that have a short-term financial need. Although immediate family members and close friends should be the first level of support, we realize that some people are not able to receive support for various reasons.
We extend financial assistance with the understanding that in most cases, the recipient will be able to donate the full amount back to Mercy Ministry so that others may benefit from the same support given to them. We believe that this principle of receiving and giving back is a Biblical value practiced not just in Mercy Ministry but in every area of our lives.
Although Mercy Ministry has a fund to cover most situations, we are reaching out to our wider body because this particular request exceeds our standard assistance allocation.
A family in our community is in need of 10 million won to find new housing due to physical and verbal abuse. The situation has gone on for several years and it is no longer an acceptable living situation with increasing levels of abuse that pose serious risk to all family members. To protect the privacy of the family, we cannot share much more information but please rest assured that pastors and staff are intimately involved in providing counsel and guidance through this difficult time. A suitable location has been found with help of staff which is why we need to fundraise 10 million won.
We are reaching out to Jubilee members because we want to provide an opportunity for our community to give directly to this family in need. If the statistics are right, there are many within Jubilee that have also been affected by abuse in one way or another. We believe that suffering opens the opportunity for the Spirit of God to move and bring healing through the hands of His people. As the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 12:26,
If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.
Please donate on JubiLink to the Mercy Ministry project. All proceeds to this project until Dec. 31 will be allocated to this family. We will also provide follow up emails regarding opportunities to donate tangible items to help furnish the apartment.

For all funds sent to this account, only US Credit Card holders and Paypal users will be able to receive US Tax Documents. All other funds are qualified for Korean Tax Documents only. Funds sent in South Korean Won cannot be applied to US Tax Documents.
