Dear Family, Friends and overall Disciples of Christ by the Will of GOD,
Let me just start by saying, I love children. Who doesn't right? I remember the first time I came to Korea because of a job I had received at a Kindergarten. My parents thought I was nuts. Why would I leave New Zealand to go and teach English in a foreign country when I could perfectly get a job in my home country. However, I will never forget the looks on my Korean kiddies faces the first time they saw me. They were sooooo adorable.
Well that was years ago and it has been a long time now since I have taught children. However, GOD has graciously provided an opportunity for me to minister to a group of wonderful kids and Praise GOD I am going to take it!
I remember being in a Jubilee service last year (it was my third one I think) and seeing pictures and videos of what had happened at Heartland. It was so heartwarming for me that at that time I had decided I was going to serve in heatland in 2013. Well as we all know 'time is the flame in which we burn' and here we are..it is 2013 and I am writing this support letter to you.
As you can see our group needs to raise 8,000,000 won. We have already handed out those lovely heartbanks and now with your help perhaps we could raise the total amount before we head off in August (4th-9th). Please give as the spirit leads and just know faithfully that you are storing up treasures in Heaven.
Finally please pray for us that when we minister to these children, it would be in the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). That we would show the love of our Heavenly DAD (for those of you who know me, know that I always call him DAD) to these kids...and that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully in their lives to conform them to the image of KING JESUS!!!
Therefore, it is my desire that we would follow the words in Proverbs "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it" (22:6)
Oh yeah it is going to be sooooo exciting. I just can't wait to go.
