Hey Friends!
I hope all of you are doing well. Many of you are spread out all over the world from Korea to the States and to places in between. Technology is great to be able to reach out to you all. Just a little update, I have renewed my yearly contract to teach English here in Korea for another year. One of the reasons being that I still feel like God calling me to be here in this place.
I have been attending Jubilee since I have arrived in Korea last year. And the community has been encouraging and i feel challenged in my faith to grow. Another opportunity for missions came up and I felt God calling. This time, we will be serving the children in rural Korea. There is a town not too far from Seoul where there are kids that come from broken homes, parents work late and often dont have enough resources to send their children to after-school clubs and activities. This is where we come in. There are Christian community centers that offer after-school programs to the underprivileged children. We were invited to spend a week with the children providing an English camp that is Gospel centered.
We will also be working with some High School volunteers at the camp. This is another opportunity because there aren't many young adults in the area. There are not many job opportunities there and the young adults leave. The younger kids have few role models especially in faith.
Our team needs your prayers.
- For the children to open their hearts to the Gospel
- For the high school volunteers to be blessed and encouraged to continue to walk in faith
- For the community to continue to work for a better future for the children
- For the team to help fill any needs that they have
- and for the opportunity to share the Love that we receive from the Lord
