Dear friends,
I pray that this letter finds you well.
This summer in 2010 I believe God is telling me to go missions to China. One Sunday I prayed this prayer that God speaks to me today, I am ready to listen and I will obey. So I was especially attentive that morning. And you know, it was a dangerous prayer because every time I pray like that God does reveal his plan. God told me to go summer 2008 mission to heartland (same calling two years ago), but because of lack of faith I didn’t pursue it. I am grateful that God gives me second chance and make me realize I cannot run away from His perfect and good will. Luke 11:33 says “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.”
Jubilee Church sends a team to China twice a year to serve inan English camp at a school established by a Korean missionary. This time around, we will be working with 150~1608th graders from July 10th – 17th. Even though I’ve been attending Jubilee Church forthree years, this is my first mission trip with the church, and I’m very honored and happythat God has given me an opportunity to serve with myfellow members of the church on the mission field.
As you know, openly proclaiming Christ is illegal in China. However, it is our prayer that God will be glorified through every word we say, every move we make, and through every student we encounter.
“This kind can come out only by prayer” (Mk 9:29) Yes! Only by prayer we can be sent to do the work that God is calling us to do. The following are a few of my prayer requests:
#one) For the unity of the team
#two) For the members’ health, as H1N1 influenza is ravaging all around the world
#three) For our leaders pastors Dan & Victor
#four) For the missionaries who will be hosting us as they will be twice as busy, if not more
#five) For the Chinese students, that God will prepare their hearts and open their eyes so that they may see Him through us
#six) For me that God will use me in any way he wants
