Growing up as a missionary kid in Taiwan, I knew missions was something I loved and was called to do. However, for a small reason, China was honestly somewhere I wanted to avoid going. Partly because I had heard many fearful stories from other missionaries and partly because I had read the book, "The Heavenly Man."
When I was deciding between the summer mission trips offered at Jubilee church, I felt challenged to do something different. When I heard more detail of the vision for the trip, the school we would be reaching out to, and the students there and as I learned more about China today, my fear suddenly disappeared and I began looking forward to going to China. I don't know if this is the beginning of something more for my future in China or if it will be just a week in missions. Regardless, I am excited in every way to give all I've got to be used by God and see what He has in stored.
We have about 15 people going as a team to China. We will help in teaching English and with many other activities. Our trip dates are from July 11th to 17th.
