Hello everyone! As you all know, our family has been based in Kansas City serving the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) campus here for the past year and a half. Coming here from Korea, leaving our community and comfort, was a big change for us and required us to take a huge leap of faith. It has been challenging in different ways, but it has been a blessing for us as a family. We realized that God gave us this time to be fully established in his perfect love as a family, as one. We are learning what it means to love God together, what it looks like to live our lives for him together, and how to love and be a blessing to others.
With much prayer, I have decided to do my DTS (Discipleship Training School) this coming September 30th. Victor already did his DTS back in 2011 in Kona, Hawaii, but we felt that this would be the perfect time for us to do one together as a family and go on mission. Victor will be staffing the school and I will be attending as a student. I’m really excited about meeting people and learning and growing together, because after having a child, you don’t get any personal time to yourself (haha). During the 3 months of lecture, Shiloh will be attending daycare provided by the IHOP (International House of Prayer) community where she will also be learning about Jesus and his love. It’s pretty amazing! I’m really excited for her too.
DTS will be 3 months of lecture where we will have different speakers come and share. They will cover topics of hearing God’s voice, knowing the Father’s heart, knowing our original design and the way we were created, our giftings, lifestyle missions, family on mission, and much more. After the lecture phase, we will then go on a 3 month missions trip to a foreign nation with our team. During missions, we will be helping the people and communities in the region, forming relationships, and sharing the love and hope of Jesus.
The coming 6 months will be a challenge as we do this as a family with a child, but we know that it will be an amazing time for us! Please pray that we can all adjust well (especially Shiloh) to all the changes and that we can have so much fun during this season!
I want to ask you if you would consider supporting my DTS and our family’s mission trip. We need to raise about $10,000 so that we can go on missions to a foreign country. We will be going on outreach on December 16, 2016 and need to raise all the money before then.
