I am very happy to share my summer mission trip with you. I will be serving as a staff member at the English Unification Camp from 7-24-7/28, in Gapyung, Korea. There will be 200 youths including North Korean defectors, South Koreans, and others from the Korean diaspora joining the camp this summer. I will be working with about 100 staffs from all over the world who are willing to be part of this great journey. It is very rare to meet about a hundred N. Koreans in one place even as a S. Korean native, so I am very excited and looking forward to having a fellowship with them and serve the camp.
Speaking of this camp, I think this will be a great opportunity for youths to learn about each other and also to get to know God for a week. Since there are many N Korean refugees in S. Korea, who had to live through poverty throughout their lives, it will be a special time for them to have this opportunity to grow together. Also, getting to know each other is crucial and a great step to prepare the unification of Korea. I am certain that education and fellowship between North Korean and South Korean from their age will be a significant experience for them.

이번여름 한국에서 하는 남북한 청소년 영어캠프에 스태프로 참가 하게 되었습니다. 이 캠프는 한국에 있는 탈북한 청소년들과 대한민국의 청소년들을 위한것입니다. 탈북자들의 수가 굉장히 늘어가는 현실속에 미래를 준비하기 위해 이런 서로를 알아가는 기회들이 많이 중요하다고 생각합니다. 특별히 그들을 위한 교육과 또 청소년기 때 부터 서로를 알아가는 교제의 장이 아주 중요할 것 이라고 믿고 있습니다.
이번 여름 약 200명의 남북의 청소년들과 세계 곳곳에 사는 한국인 디아스포라, 또 그것에 동참 하려는 전 세계에서 모인 약 100여명의 스태프들을 만나게 될것 입니다. 이렇게 많은 탈북자들을 한자리에서 만나게 되는것이 흔한일이 아닐것 같습니다. 그 학생들은 여러 활동들을 통해 하나님을 알아가고, 또 서로를 알아가고, 문화에대해 배우게 될것입니다. 남한 학생들끼리만 아니면 북한 학생들끼리만 만나는것이 아니라 모두가 섞여 서로를 배우고 또 하나님을 알아가는 시간이 될것입니다.
이것을 위해 35만원의 재정을 모금하려고 합니다. 이것은 저뿐만 아니라 그 단체를 지원하는 일에도 쓰이게 될것입니다. 이 미션에 마음이 있고 동참 하기를 원하고 또 재정적으로 지원 하고 싶은 마음이 생긴다면, 후원을 부탁드리고 싶습니다.
