Hello Family and Friends:
As some of you may know, I am spending my summer in the Republic of Korea. While I am here for Law-related job, I had already decided that I would be coming to Korea to do missions work, in some way or form, before I even landed in the country.
As God's plans would have it, my friend invited me to attend Jubilee Church, a church community in the heart of Seoul with a missional focus. They have several missions trips happening this summer, and I have decided to join in with Jubilee in their mission trip to the Korean Heartland.
This trip will be going to the area of Namyangju, South Korea from August 9-13. There our team will hold a 3-day Vacation Bible School for elementary children, and then a 2-day creative program for young teenagers. These days will include key teaching, skits, games and activities. Children from non-metropolitan regions like Namyangju can often feel marginalized and forgotten in the shadow of Korea’s rapidly rising economy centered in Seoul. Our aim is to show them God’s love through Christ as their hope, as the One who shows them the way, and who loves them with a divine love.
As with many missions trips, we need as much support as possible. I invite you to partner with me in this mission. There are two main ways you can do that:
(1) Financially – money is needed in any missions trip, and would go towards activity costs, housing, and transportation. I am providing from my own funds, and have a goal of raising $300 more. (2) Prayer – our team will face physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges both in the preparation and the execution of this trip. Please pray that God will give us the strength to meet those challenges. Pray that God’s glory will show through in this trip.
