Accepting Christ into my life happened in a second, but deepening my trust and faith in him happened over a long time span. I never had any life-changing/dramatic instances in my life that led me to Christ, but rather, through continuous seeking, questioning and answered prayers, my faith in the Lord got deeper.
And now, I would say that I am in a point in my life when my hunger for Jesus has exploded.
Ever since joining Jubilee Church and stepping up to a BSF leadership position, it has greatly challenged me to escape my lukewarm mentality towards God.
There is now this unexplainable desire in my heart to read the Bible more, to base my thoughts, decisions and actions off of scripture, and actively establish my own personal relationship with Jesus. I love what Paul said in Romans 12:2, because it rings ever so true in my own life. (“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.)
In another step of faith, I am going on a mission trip to Cambodia this summer to serve at an orphange called Center of Peace in Phnom Penh.
