Hello Friends!
Well, I found my way back to Seoul for the summer, just in time to help with this year's VBS 2018: Rolling River Rampage from August 9-11. This year our VBS will be an outreach intended not only for those children who attend Jubilee, but also for the local Korean kindergarten to 5th graders as well. To do this, we will be having a bilingual program. Not only that, but we have a special guest, children's praise and worship leader Jana Alayra, coming all the way from America to join us for a concert on the last day!
If you know me at all, you know the Father has really given me a passion for building up this next generation of believers. As we've been given this chance to pour into our young brothers and sisters and reach out to those who have yet to know Him, we can't do this alone. As part of our outreach tradition, we commit to putting down half of the 200,000 won cost of our trip and look forward to the Father allowing others just like you to be included in this blessing by supporting us for the other half. That means we each need to raise 100,000 won (100 USD) by August 8th. Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated.
But wait! There's other ways to get involved as well. If you know kids who live in/around the Seoul area, whether Korean or English speakers, we would love to have them. You can help us by getting the word out, bringing kids during the 3-day outreach, or even sponsoring students to come.
Most importantly, we would love for you to partner with us through prayer. A few prayer points to remember:
1. Ask the Father to send us students with open minds and hearts.
2. Remember our team as we prepare. Ask for unity, solid group dynamics, and that we all might be able to obediently step up wherever there's a need. Ask that we might be inspired with great ideas and creativity and that we'll have joy as we get to partner with the Father in what He's doing through this outreach.
3. Ask for protection and covering as we prepare and during the event for students, volunteers, and our special guest.
Lastly, let's praise the Father for the victory He's already won, for the seeds He has already prepared to plant because of this outreach!
